I was never much of an artist. I never took art classes. I never thought I could draw or paint. The only art I did was picture framing. But when I left that job to move to Washington state from Ohio, I realized I missed the art part of the work. So I started cooking. Then 2020 hit, and I realized I had more in me than just cooking and occasional crochet. And here I am. Making art every day to keep my brain sane.
I use many different mediums, such as crocheted yarns, Markers, Resin casting, Stickers, acrylic paints and even formaldehyde. I have ADHD and tend to jump from medium to medium depending on my brain that day.
My inspiration is everything. Dreams and things I see outside. Sometimes a song or a picture on the internet will inspire something. If I am upset, I will make an insult bottle. My brain is a little chaotic, and weird things come out. Sometimes I control them, other times, not so much. It's a wild ride, but I make some pretty things because of it.
